Distribution
Endemic in the Philippines.
Uses
The fruits are edible.
Observations
Tree, up to 20 m tall and with stem diameter up to 50 cm. Leaves linear to oblong, 7—15 cm long. Fruit a globose berry, 2—3 cm in diameter, crowned by the persistent calyx, growing in cymose clusters, reddish. In forests at low altitudes, rare.
