Uses
The wood is used as berangan.
Observations
A medium-sized tree up to 21 m tall, bole up to 60 cm in diameter, rarely buttressed, inner bark granular, soft, pale yellow; leaves 8—15 cm 3—6 cm, with 8—14 pairs of secondary veins, greenish-grey and with a dense cover of appressed stellate hairs below; cupule 2—3.5 cm 1.5—3 cm, enclosing the single fruit, often golden hairy, densely set with short, pyramidal tubercles, fruit completely adnate to the cupule. Canarium nephelioides occurs in primary forest up to 1200 m altitude. The density of the wood is about 610 kg/m3 at 15% moisture content.
