Distribution
Native to eastern Africa, Madagascar, the Indian Ocean Islands, Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Burma (Myanmar), Indo-China, southern China, Thailand, throughout Malesia, and the Pacific Islands; widely cultivated throughout the tropics.
